Try having treats by the front door. When you come in, have a treat ready before he reaches to greet you, give him a command that he knows, ie; sit, down, shake etc. We had a dog that piddled from excitement at training whenever someone greeted him or his owner. We were all asked to give him a command then treat. He got over it.
