I have a 2 year old female Yorkie who free feeds on Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier adult food and is doing well on it. Last week we brought home a 12 week old male Yorkie puppy. We put put separate food bowls but they eat out of each other's. They are both doing well and getting along. It just dawned on me that maybe the puppy should be on puppy food. He isn't due at the vet for 3 weeks so we have no vet to ask.

I have 2 questions for the board.
1) Should I have the puppy eating puppy food when I am feeding good adult food?
2) How can I free feed if the two dogs eat different food?
