We never took our first yorkie, Charlie, around other dogs and it was a huge mistake. He was so scared of other dogs that he would having a barking,crazy fit every time he saw one. When we would run at our local park, my husband would have to pick him up and hide his eyes. This was not so easy as he weighed 15 pounds. As soon as Barney was old enough and had all of his vaccinations, I took him to visit friends with dogs. It made a huge difference. Taking yours to a puppy class is a great idea.
