I feed them 3 x's a day, split their meals into 3 instead of 2. He no longer chews his kibble, so I moisten it w/water & make it soft. I think the water also helps fill him up more. He gets premade raw for the other 2 meals & it's only a small nugget ea/but he does great. Since they eat 3x's a day, they hardly ever get any treats. I weigh them once a month w/a baby scale.  |
I don't think he is alpha at all. My maltese is the alpha in the group.
Do you mean 1/4 cup 3 times a day or 1/2 cup (which is recommended) divided by three times a day?
I have also been adding canned food with the kibble at one feeding, but cutting back on 1/4 cup when I add canned.
