I àm just now seeing this. I am so very, very sorry for your loss of Max. It is so hard to let go. Was Gidget able to see him before or after Max passed on? It still depresses them. But, it also helps them to know that they won't be back. Dogs grieve just like we do. When we lost my little doxie, Odie, at 10 years old, it was so hard on Julia. She went about 2 weeks not eating and just layed around all day. Of course, so did I. About a month after he was gone we decided to get a rat terrier pup. It helped us all, including Julia.we never, ever forget Odie. But we found another furbaby who needed love..this worked for us...so,I just thought I'd share it with you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers!!!
