Agree. Teach her to be independent and be able to be happy when you are not around so when you have to leave her with someone for a business trip or getaway, she won't be miserable and make their lives miserable. Some dogs are so attached to their owners they whine and pace a good deal of the time they are away from their owner and won't eat, etc.
