It's sad to think there might be abuse, and I hope that's not the case, but I have picked up dogs for others when their flights are delayed, etc. and their boarder will close before they can get their fur baby, who will then have to spend the entire weekend being boarded and not at home. Some react ecstatic to see me, but others just want out of there!

It certainly couldn't hurt to try to acquire the dog, if you want to care for it yourself. | My thoughts exactly. I don't see lack of excitement for the person picking up is an indication of abuse. There are many other reasons for this. I would not jump to conclusions without knowing more facts. |
