I cannot agree more. Somehow my father's AKC championed Chows survived on Purina Dog Chow. I think Alpo was the other choice. There were so few choices in the 60's but these dogs survived. I can remember when Ken L Burgers and Gaines Burgers hit the grocer's shelves. Our dogs thought they had found fine dining.

All kidding aside, it is good that people care what their dogs eat. Some dogs do better with less or no grain, others are fine with any amount. Each dog is different so try a food that you believe has good quality control and if your dog likes it without any weight, allergy or adverse effects then stay with it. I prepare my own dog food. I have dogs with special needs and I find it easy to prepare. They seem to like it.
