Default Wallee's becoming a toy bully!!!!

Hi everyone...looking for advice again. It seems Wallee has developed "only dog" syndrome. We have a neighbor who has a Nova Scotia Duck Toller who walks with us every day. She is also pretty close to Wallee's age so very high in energy still. Well, the other day the duck toller came into our house (on leash) for the first time. Every time she sniffed or touched one of Wallee's toys he ran over and growled and took the toy from her. The dog owner thought it was kind of cute as Wallee was acting like a spoiled kid. Yesterday she asked me to bring him into her house as she is going to look after him next weekend for a day and wanted to see how they were in her home. (We don't let them play off leash in the yard as the Toller is still pretty rough and twice the size of Wallee). We went into the house, took Wallee off leash and of course when she went to climb on him and hit him with her paws he did the usual growl to let her know that was not on. Neither of us had a problem with that as like we said she plays rough and needs to know his limits. The problem was with the "toys" again. As soon as Wallee spotted the balls, he thought he "owned them". There were at least 6 balls in the room but....as soon as the poor Toller went near any of them off went Wallee growling and taking the toys from her. It was obvious she was being intimidated by him as she started to hide behind our legs. I felt really bad and the owner said "wow" he is pretty agressive. Wallee is very submissive around other dogs when we are out walking and although he tried often to dominate MsYorktown's Jersey by humping I have never seen the growling when he is with her. Should I be worried about him becoming possesive and how can I stop this? This is the first time I have seen him with other dogs and toys so was not aware that he would act this way. I was pretty embarrased and finally had to pick him up and sternly tell him to SETTLE to get him to settle down.
