I agree that puppy hair is more likely to tangle and mat. Cotton coated Yorkies too.

Tangling is a downside of clothing. I have to make sure my boys are tangle free before the clothing goes on. Any tangles will become much worse otherwise.

Using a great conditioner does help. The cleaner the hair, the better too. My boys tangle more when they are getting close to bath day.
