Cindy: I do it that way sometimes too (I prefer it) it all depending on how full or long the skirt is. It can sometimes get in the way of the arm pits area. If I can pin it to where it is out of the way and not mess up the or get accidently sewn together I will do it that way. If not, I do it the other way.
