Great post, Kristin. I always try to support small business when I can.
As to the recent Facebook thing...that was just a small group of people from what I have gathered. It appears to me that someone reported someone and then it grew from there...and people associated ended up with their accounts closed. It's a shame, but that is what people do.
Sherry you used the word crackdown, but I have yet to find anything that supports it as such. Again, seems to be a localized thing...and it is something that has been going on for years. If they are made aware of a dog account or some such other thing, I think they act....but I would not believe they are going through accounts one by one seeking these accounts out.
But, when it comes to crackdowns, this is one that people should take seriously especially people who are not a legitimate business. The IRS is not an agency to play around with....this smells crackdown to me:
