Oh, I'd love to send him to stay with you if it weren't for having to send him on a plane both ways! And I just don't trust those sitters and don't know any personally - they don't know him and am too scared one wouldn't be careful enough with him and he'd get out or worse. If I just knew someone I could trust - knew from several people in a row using them and no problems or scared dogs after the stay. I've known of a couple of "sitters" who were less than professional in the long run with frightened or shy-acting dogs in the home after the sitter experience.

My sister has a dog that is way bigger than Tibbe and he's gotten too aggressive to trust with Tibbe on his territory. My son might not be back from his Florida job in time but he would get here soon as he could. Tibbe would likely just have to be there one night. I'd rather have him stay at the Petco Hotel I think where his preventative-care vet can see him if need be. He'll be right there and the ER vet isn't that far down the road from the hotel. The other vet that boards just has kennels for their boarded dogs.
