I wondered if anyone has a Yorkie suffering from root resorption? I took Tootsy to the dentist to have her teeth cleaned and he did some X-rays, as she had inflammation in her mouth. He found that most of her teeth are suffering from a painful condition called root resorption (common in cats, but sometimes appears in dogs). He removed one tooth where the resorption had reached the gumline. I would be so grateful for any information on the treatment of this disease, should anyone have any. In particular I am hoping to contact a dentist somewhere in the world with a particular interest in treating this disease as they may have new ways of treating it that vet. dentist are not aware of over here. In the UK dental treatment for dogs is still in it's infancy. Strange, as we are supposed to be a nation of animal lovers!! I feel that the USA is far ahead in almost everything regarding pets and veterinery care. If anyone can give me any help, or recommendations, I would really appreciate it.
