my lola will not walk on a leash......if we walk out of the yard i have a sling bag she goes in. i think she came from a puppy mill and basically left in a crate as she will do circles non stop when she is nervous or out of her element. it took me months to get her to walk in my back yard without shaking or cowering... she was afraid of every noise and everything. now she will hang out and lay down out on the grass and even sometimes play with cedric n lola. so i say build a routine and slowly get him used to these surroundings. depending on his history it can take a lot of time for them to feel safe in outside surroundings but with time and patience he should start to come around. anytime lola is afraid of something i pick it up and let her smell it or i pick her up and bring her to what she's afraid of so she can smell it if she chooses this usually helps ease her anxiety when theres soemthing outside she's not used to in the yard. wishing you the best.
