I am a new yorkie mom myself. But i have learned that when i take Andy outside i say "go potty" and do not acknowledge his at all afterwards until he has peed or pooped. Then i praise him. At 15 weeks, he now knows to go to the door when he needs to go potty. I do not crate mine. I have a childs pen. i use. Because im at work all day. He has a sleep area, food and water area, a potty area if needed, a play area. It has been a total hit. He only pees one time while im gone. At 15 weeks his bladder isnt even fully developed. As for barking, I do not acknowledge it at all while in his pen. Nor do i look at him unless its time to come out. He stopped to barking after 2 days. (once he learned mommy doesnt say hi when i bark) He does still bark at playtime and sense hes teething lol. Im sure its just him trying to get into the swing of things. As soon as mommy gets up Andy goes outside before i do anything. after eating or drinking anything, Andy goes outside. And before bed time, Andy goes outside. I wish you the best of luck. I am struggling with the teething issue where everything goes in andys mouth to chew lol. Including mommys hands. Best of luck to you!
