MD is tick central most of the time but I still only use it sparingly. Probably 2-3 months of the year do I apply it. K9 Advantix seems to last us a good 2 months of protection. If I am seeing more ticks, I apply it. But I haven't seen any all summer, so he hasn't had an application since around June. I see no need to put poisions on him if I don't absolutely have to, and I thoroughly check him over ever night, he gets bathed weekly and professionally groomed every 6-8 weeks.
Heartworm meds are a different story, they are RX, and I give monthly. |
