Our Skittles (poodle) can not have his teeth cleaned due to heart issues. This is what I have been doing for about 6months and it has helped alot.
Teeth are brushed everymorning,I use the little squishy brush that goes on the end of your finger.
In the evening I put tooth gel (Orzan) on a qtip and rub it on his molers. Just a little on each side. You can actually do this after brushing in the morning. This stiff kills the bacteria that causes bad breath and tartar.
Over the past 6months the tartar on his teeth has lessened tremendously. They arent sparkley white but his breath wont knock you over and his teeth do look alot better. |
