Being a person who gets many infections, due to my spinal cord injury, I would never take antibiotics, unless there is some type of culture done, to determine exactly what kind, if any bacteria there is. Giving antibiotics without knowing what they are treating can give your pup resistance, and harm him in the future due to antibiotic resistance. I would first opt for the X-ray to see if there is any buildup in the lungs and if so, ask them to do a culture to see what bacteria is there and what antibiotic is best. Hope this is helpful xoxo |
