Update Cassie seems more animated today. Tried to climb out of the O2 Cage to get to me. I was allowed to pet her through a little window in the door, but when the O2 level got below 40 I needed to close the door until the reading got up to 40 again. Did this several times and told her how very much I loved her and needed her to get well really soon. They haven't yet started the the new ABX, as it didn't come in yet, but I asked the doctor if it would hurt her at all, Cassie being so tiny and the ABX being so strong and she reiterated that it might be the very thing that saves her life. That's good enough for me. I left her soon after the third time of opening and closing the door, as I didn't want to push the envelope too much and she was getting too excited, and I think she understood I would be back and she accepted that. The doctor once again stressed that they by no means are sure that this is pneumonia, that this was a best guess but there are no guarantees and the improvement she is showing might be due to the increased oxygen she is receiving, not necessarily the ABX she received.
We left soon afterwards. So there you have it, the latest update. Please keep those prayers going, we're not out of the woods yet.
