Besides pieces of our home cooked, healthy foods, I discovered the real meat, jerky bites made by the "Wellness" dog food company. I also use their canned & their dry kibble mixed together for our Yorkie's daily food. Taffy loves their real "meat jerky pieces" above all other treats! Now, they are not cheap since they are real Salmon & Turkey or Venison & Chicken, but they can be easily broken into halves or small quarter pieces, just right for Yorkies. We did try a Kong, but he would only lick off the most easily lickable food area, then ignored the Kong completely. It also left sticky food smears on the floor, so we could only use the Kong in the basement play pen. He would not chew on the Kong either; he opted for dried chicken strips or dried lamb or beef jerky; I found some of these made by real USA dog companies, they were carried by a local Farm Produce Store--I do not buy dog treats or chews made in China or Korea as their sanitation methods are not what I would want for my dog's products.
