Just a thought: steroids can increase blood sugar, leading to frequent urination and dry mouth/mucous membranes. Usually increased thirst, not decreased, though. It would be something to have checked
Many times the increased glucose is transient, returning to normal after the course of steroids is completed, which could be why the symptoms are resolving, too.
