Not a silly question at all.
Yes, they can mess up digestion...ESPECIALLY in these small, delicate breeds. I would also stay away from greenies and anything of that nature. Digestive issues and BLOCKAGES can and have happened with such items.
Also, just in case you weren't aware, never give rawhide products either...even to big dogs. They really should not even be allowed to be sold. sigh
