When we got Barney he would go crazy any time he saw another dog. Although we have another dog, Max. He's 15 and he wants nothing to do with a hyper puppy. So, I talked my husband into one more dog. We got Anna from a shelter and she is 6. It is wonderful. She lays down beside Max and she also plays rough and tumble with Barney. Like you, I couldn't make up my mind and teetered back and forth. The first few weeks I was worried that I had made a huge mistake, but I cannot imagine our lives without our 3 tail waggers. By the way, I am really glad that we went with a girl. They are not terribly competitive with each other.
