If you're feeding dry kibble, the best way to feed a puppy is to divide the daily ration into 3-5 feedings per day. This prevents him from overeating, which can be a problem if he doesn't drink enough water. Kibble will cause constipation if water is not consumed and can even cause a blockage. Feeding several meals per day also allows you to see exactly how much he's eating, helping to spot any problems early on.
