I had the scare of my life this morning. The vet said it is possible that what happened was a seizure OR a reaction to paint/stain in the house. He didn't want to start Phenobarbital unless she has them more often.

I told him we had our bathroom cabinets stained. We weren't in the house because of the smell. However, we aired out the house before going back in. The vet said that would have no toxicity, though, but it could've given her a reaction.

She could barely walk using her hind legs. She was very weak. When she reached our den, her head started bobbing very slowly, side to side. Then, she started shivering like she was cold. It only lasted a couple of minutes and was not violent at all. She looked a little scared. She understood me when I talked to her.

I immediately took her to the vet. He also did complete blood work and it was all normal. Her eyes, ears, and heart were perfect.

Does this sound like a seizure?
