If you can find a club or a teacher in your area, I would suggest contacting them and letting them know you are interested in classes when your dog is old enough. Perhaps they could tell you about, or maybe even give you some private lessons, to learn some skills to start now that will give you a head start in beginning agility.
I think that reliable basic obedience skills (come, sit, stay, etc.) are the most important things for you to have as a foundation now, since your dog will have to work off leash in agility.
