If she is a mix, there would likely not be anyone who can tell you exactly what to expect. But, even within breeds, dogs can be different, including their 'trainability' and how quickly they pick it up. Also, since she is about 4 months old, please understand that she is still a baby and may not be able to control bodily functions yet anyway. Give her time, keep working with her as she matures, don't give up, and try not to get frustrated with her...give her lots of love and praise, and even treats when she does it right. Use 'key words' like 'go potty' as soon as you see her start to go so she starts to understand what you mean. She will eventually get the hang of it. You can set her up in a space to limit the messes she can make to a smaller, more managable area, etc. Lots of good techniques exist for training, and others may provide just the help you need. Good luck...and congratulations.
