But I'm worried he may be attacking her and if I don't correct it he will think it's ok and this behavior will progress...he does bark and growl while jumping at her. My bulldog doesn't "retaliate" she'll either just lay there and take it, play keep away, or nudge him with her head. Any suggestions are appreciated!
Does he bark and growl when she has the toy in her mouth? I would look at this as play.

Do be carefull though. I try to stop this with my big dog and the wee Razzman. In fact I don't allow them to play together unless I am literally standing over them. The only thing they will do together is walk and swim together.

I will say Razzle still will go after Magics beard when he is lying down, Magic growls and this does not deter Razzle. But I do intervene and discipline Razzle.
