Hi and Welcome to YT! If there is no head of household, the Yorkie will pick up on this and be dominant. You make the rules, and teach him. You eat first, you go through doors first, you decide when playtime starts and stops, etc. Walking your dog is an excellent way to bond with him, also some basic obedience training. Make him 'sit/stay' for his food and treats. Nothing In Life Is Free is a good method to start.
