Anti-Yeast Diet? Hello all... I am brand new here, so please forgive me if I'm asking a question that has already been addressed a million times. I did look through the threads, but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for.
My little girl, Sadie, is six years old. About a year ago, she started getting allergies and the resulting nasty yeast infection that often occurs due to allergies. The vet has given her a round of antibiotics on two different occasions and that has helped. She is just now starting to get that "corn chip" smell again, and I have no doubt that the yeast infection is back.
I would really like to change her diet to something that will prevent these yeast infections, or at least help control them. I've been doing some research into the best food for this issue, but every time I think I've found the answer, I'm unable to locate the food I'm looking for, or I learn something new that she "shouldn't have".
I know that I should avoid foods that have carbs... such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc. Does this include peas? I haven't read anywhere that peas are a problem, but they are a carb, right? My online research led me to a product called Precise, but I haven't been able to locate it anywhere nearby.
Do any of you have any suggestions? I've read that the first seven ingredients should NOT include potato, sweet potato, white rice, corn products, or wheat products.
Thank you so much for any guidance you can give...
