 What I did to treat ring worm
My Corgi got it in 2008 from the Groomers. The vet gave us a shampoo. I can't remember the exact name, something like Ketazole to kill the fungus. We shampooed her daily for a week, then went every other day for 2 weeks, then every 3 days for about 2 months. We went through about 3 bottles of shampoo. It was spendy, about $25 a bottle. Neither my other dog a Lab, the cat, nor did the people in the house catch it. None of us got it. I was VERY diligent in the shampoos and did not miss one! I didn't confine my Corgi. She still had run of the house, but I didn't take her out of our yard and didn't expose her to nonfamily dogs during that time.
I cleaned the dogs bedding, toys, and our bed and shampooed the carpets once. That's it. |
