 Fractured Fibula
Hi, Got the news yesterday from Vet that my 6 month old Yorkie, Gem, has a broken Fibula (the smaller non weight bearing bone). The vet said it will heal on it's own. The specialist has asked for another Xray view to check for hairline fractures. Gem is on pain med and doesn't want to walk but will take a few steps to go potty. She seems alert and in a happy spirit with tail wagging.
Has anyone dealt with this before? How long did it take to heal? any advise? |
