Here is what my vet said. Some of her clients *always* give Benadryl 45min-1 hour prior to any vaccines - and in her 25 years as a vet, she has never, ever had an animal who had benadryl react to a vaccine. So if you're really worried, maybe give Benadryl to help alleviate that fear. |
She hasn't ever had a reaction, but I'm a worry-wart. LOL
I had them give her the benadryl before her rabies shot a week or so ago. I told them I was waiting until this week for her DHP. The benadryl is probably overkill, but since it won't make matters worse and could make it better..I'll pay to do it.
