Thank you both, checking on UTI, the symptoms are;

More frequent urination/more asking to go out

Your dog may only urinate a little bit at a time but seem to have to urinate more often than usual

Accidents in house trained dogs often are a hallmark sign of diagnosing a UTI

Your dog seems to strain while urinating or have difficulty urinating when it seems they need to

Blood in urine or a strong smell to the urine

Urine is darker yellow in color or even brown

Your dog may seem to like her genitals more often

Tenderness in the dog's abdomen when you touch it

Fever

Lethargy

She's demonstrating none of the above, maybe she just gets excited upon our return and doesn't want to leave our company to reach the pee pad. It's a spasmodic act and the danger period is definitely immediately after returning from her long evening walkie with Dad. All today no problems and squirting with great aim and purpose. Tonight we're going to keep her in the hall area a la pee plaza and see if she reverts to the correct designation...

She's very lucky that silly old Dad's such a soft touch and the bestest defence Attorney in cases submitted before the 'Court of Mum'! Sometimes I feel duped, but like today when she's lain right across me with her little chin resting just below mine all afternoon, that tiny heart throbbing against my hand, I'll contend her 'plea bargains' unpaid for ever! Anyways the 'Hanging Judge' caved in after a few hours last night and she slept with 'the bench' as per usual. So once again Perry Mason triumphs!

If only they weren't so damn appealing!
