Is the cat an indoor cat NOW???? You need to address the situation with the cat. You didn't mention what you have done with the cats infestation. Sometimes the best solution is getting the help of a professional...by the time all is said and done you will have spent bucu dollars on the treatments your getting etc.

As far as the meds. As long as you feel your vet is competent I think you are safe. I would call the vet to fully explain your concern and get the reinforcement from the VET.

Schedule a pro to treat your home on the same day you are having your cat deflea'd!!!

Flea bits on small animals can become a problem. Not giving them flea prevention etc...can become a bigger problem. I'm reminded of a dog chasing its tail...your going in circles...Good luck and keep us posted...I feel for you, I know I would be flipping out too.
