Do you have quilt and sewing expos close to you? If so, get cozy with the ladies that sell the machine you like (which ever brand) and ask them to let you know when the expos are coming. The machines that are used in the classes and demonstrations need to be sold afterwards, but they legally can't be sold as new at full price. You can get quite a discount and you will still have a full warranty on them. Most of the machines get less than 10 hours use there.
