I think he wishes he could be there to play with her, too!

What a perfect dog and perfect Yorkshire Terrier Katie is. She looks like she's got really good bone and substance underneath all that beauty, too. I just love her new hair do - looks so cute. Such a glorious coat on that dog!

I can only imagine how you will miss giving up your long days with Katie once you return to work! She's bound to be a joy to just be around and feast your eyes on each and every minute of the day.

What do your students think about her?
Thank you Valerie and Jeanie. Katie is a little sweetheart. She runs back and forth between my husband and me to give us kisses and to tell us how happy she is. I don't get much sleep, but Katie gets lots of attention and play time when I'm working, but each day this summer has revolved around playing with her and going for walks. Katie is not hyperactive at all, but she has boundless energy when playing. We think Katie is perfect in every way, but we're her mom and dad, and we simply adore her. I can stare at her all day and never tire of it. My husband loves how much she enjoys going for walks and playing, and he wants her to, but he hates to give her up much of the time.

Katie's hair is pure silk and a dream to maintain, but it's very thick, so this hair cut has been good for her this summer. She still hops in and out of her baby pool, particularly when she thinks we are going to go inside. She knows then I'll keep her out a little while longer to dry off. She is so smart! I can't say enough about the love, commitment, and training her breeder gave to her. Katie is so happy and confident, and I know that came from the wonderful life she had before she was with us. Her breeder recently told me how nice her summer has been with her dogs. They have been swimming a lot, and I know she spends so much time training and playing with them. They lead a very active life, and they are very loved.

Katie is very solidly built. Her chest is really broad, and she is very athletic. We have stairs for her to get up to the bed, and we don't let her jump inside, but she loves jumping every opportunity she finds to catch her ball midair. I'm really careful when it's wet outside so she doesn't slide, but I also want her to enjoy herself. We are very protective, but she lives an active life and gets to do things dogs love to do.

My students love to hear stories of Katie. It's amazing how easy it is to get a teenager to open up when you talk to them about dogs.

I appreciate both of your kind words. Thank you.
