Her lepto test was positive for one strain...right at the cutoff. He said that could be from an exposure or possibly from a vaccine before I adopted her. But.. I have had her since 2008 and I have never had her vaccinated for lepto.
Her UPC is up at 4 ... so he has increased her Enalapril. Thankfully, her B/P has been really good.
She will go back in three weeks to have her liver values repeated. She will also have a convalescent cytology done which will tell if she did/does have lepto. She also will have a UPC done again.
She will continue on Clavamox, Denamarin, Ursodiol, Enalapril, Mirtazpine as needed and aspirin. Poor thing hates meds .. just have to find an easier way to get them down her. Had a huge battle this morning.  |
Good news and more questions....I guess this is better than bad news...heres hoping it gets better and better everyday and no Lepto...uggghhhh....keep us posted....continued prayers.
