I prefer the older (pre 1970) Singers although I own a PFAFF that is 18yrs old. I also collect older Singers. People will drop older machines off at my house and I do the same thing. I get them running and rehome them to people that want to learn to sew. Most and single stitch,but you can still do a bunch with that one stitch,like make doggie clothes and quilt.
