It should calm him down. If you do see him humping you need to correct him- tell him No and pull him away from whatever he is humping. I personally think it is a nasty behavior and I don't think they should be allowed to do it.. it only teaches them it is ok.

My friends Yorkie/Pom humps Peanut all the time, it drives me crazy.

How old is he? He could be biting because he is still teething..
