I bought one for my son, and when he needed a pot to cook stew etc in, he told me to look for induction on the box or on the bottom of the pan. I bought a great pot at Walmart. It was pricey, at $70 for a really big soup pot, I think 20 quart, the smaller ones got more reasonable. After he cooked for me, I'm not only to get me an induction stove top, but the pot too
