Welcome to YT. You came to the right place to get advice from experienced Yorkie owners and breeders. My Zoe is a pretty picky eater. I feed Innova Puppy canned in the morning (if it's been in the refrigerator, I heat is for 5 seconds in the microwave) and free feed (leave it down all day) the Innova Puppy dry kibble. She also likes the Innova Health Bars for treats. I buy the small ones and break them in half. The dry food and health bars can be bagged and frozen to keep it fresh. I also use Honey Nut Cheerios for training treats. She'll do about anything for a Cheerio. Once in a while I give her a bite of cheese for a snack.
Nutrical is good, but don't overdo it. Just give her a little bit once or twice a day. My vet does not recommend it at all, but most folks here think it is good to use, and I do use a little once in a while.
Zoe is tiny, but very healthy and energetic on this diet.
Innova is not widely sold, so before your drive around trying to find it, I suggest you search for their website. It's on a thread somewhere on YT but can probably Google Innova and find it. I am fortunate that a feed store in our town sells it. They say it has become very popular, lots of folks are coming in asking for it.
Wishing you many years of joy from your new baby!!!!! |
