Aw poor Bently. He for sure knows something is up. I'm sure he will be ok.. Have you ever left him for more than a couple days?
I would just spend some quality time with him, nice snuggles and walks. If you can leave your Pj top or something with your scent where he will sleep. He may feel more comfortable with something left in your scent.
My Mom watches Pnut at her house when we go on vacations. Peanut does love it at his Gmas, but he still is very attached to me. However being with someone I know treats him as well as I do and knowing he is so comfortable there makes me feel at ease.
I'm sure Bently will be ok!! Leaving is the hard part.
