Cookie won't eat out of her bowl hardly at all; I have to dump it on the carpet. On the occasions she does eat out of the bowl she'll just drop the kibble on the carpet and eat it from there.
Sometimes you might need to make eating fun just like with a baby. E.g.,
Here comes the airplane...
Choo-choo coming into the station...
Here comes the missile....
Here comes the paratrooper...
Here comes the laser...
Here comes the boomerang...
Here comes the kangaroo...
Here comes the helicopter...
If all else fails, give some Nutrical -- that often gets their appetites going again
