They very well could be tattooing the dogs to mark that they've been fixed. It definitely looked like a tattoo.
Speaking of neutering...is it normal for them to have a lot of hanging skin back there where their testicles used to be?? I didn't think they'd neutered him at first and I don't remember ever seeing saggy skin afterwards. Will that shrink up?? |
Yes, it's normal and will shrink in time. That's one of those things they need to tell pet owners so they don't get worried when they see it. Sammy was the first male dog I ever had and I was absolutely convinced they had missed one!
