Sounds like it is time for a specialist as your vet suggested. It may cost a bit more up front, but in the long run you will save money. They just have a way of getting to the bottom of things.

As for the cost, the specialist will go over everything with you and give you an estimate. I really like that about them....they typically will look at a range of things that it could be and tell you what tests need to be done. You can ask what the initial office visit will be, but it is usually around $150.
