OMG if you dong have one you really must get one.
I tried the Ruffler foot with no luck on figuring the darn thing out. It was just too complicated. So, I was determined to find something to help me get things done faster.
I discovered the Gathering foot on a website for 19.99 but figure I'd check with our local sewing shop first. They had it for 9.99
Whoa Hoo so I snatched it up than went home to try it out.
Love IT !! ♥
I tried just doing the gathering first turned out so professional looking. I also tested out the gathering foot with the flat fabric while sewing each separately, but together. I love the look, so even and professional looking and I would love to do my dresses that way. But I am sort of stuck on
how I would sew my doggy dresses once the skirt or ruffle has already been attached to the one side of the material !!
* Do any of you sewing experts know how to accomplish that little dilemma ? Any help would be greatly appreciated . .
I also need to work with the width of my material versus the size of the space I have to work with per size of each dress. See how the gathering foot differs from the way I normally would do it. I may need to make some adjustment to the width on the skirt fabric.
