I'm happy to hear that you had positive results Barney

ladyjane, what was your recourse when atopica did not help?

Thanks for your replies
Yes, it makes great sense to use steroids (for symptom relief) as the Atopica ramps up. It's fine to be on both. Plus, with the severity of her symptoms - I wouldn't want anything less. I think her treatment plan sounds excellent.

My Marcel is on Atopica for pollen issues, and when he started Atopica we saw some symptom relief even after just 1.5 weeks. It's a few years later now, and he still does great on it. He now takes it MWF...and I may take him down to T TH in a while and see how he does. Atopica can be a little miracle for many dogs.

Have you also thought about allergy testing eventually? What's nice about Atopica is that they can be on/stay on Atopica with allergy testing. Whereas they cannot be on steroids.

Do you think it's pollen/seasonal...ie, do you notice the symptoms being worse at certain times of the year? Or are they year 'round? I do watch pollens in my area at pollen.com, and that helps. I keep track of symptoms vs present pollens.
