Hi everyone! What a wonderful forum.

I'm new here, so please don't scold me.

I just got a yorkie on Saturday! My mom has a yorkie too, but she lives in another county so I only get the chance to speak to her on weekends. I named my yorkie Kiwi -- she is 3 months old and 2.2 pounds (but she is somewhat skinny).

The earliest date I could schedule an appointment with the vet is Friday. She has only had her FIRST series of shots (yes, I know). I could not refuse her at the seller/breeder though. I think she might even come from a puppy mill in Europe because she has a European microchip. But again, I could absolutely NOT refuse her.

She is very scared. She is OK in my presance, but soon as I leave she will start crying and shaking. I don't leave for long, 2 hours at most. Kiwi refuses to eat her puppy food (Purina Benefil Healthy Grow for Puppies). I now understand this is not the best brand. She loves real rice & chicken though. She is also sleepy. She sleeps most the day, God Forbid she has Hypoglycemia the poor thing. Would you recommend giving her some syrup?
